Meet Our Team in Richmond Hill, Ontario

Leslie has been a member of the team at Richmond Hill Optometric Clinic since 2017. Being a graduate of University of Waterloo with a degree in Kinesiology, Leslie has always had a keen interest in human function, health and wellness.
Leslie is a certified Practical Vision Therapist and a member of Vision Therapy Canada. Leslie has learned many approaches and techniques in vision therapy through this certification along with completing the Emergent Vision Therapist Training Program. She has completed the Practical Vision Therapy Accreditation Program here in Canada.
Leslie has a particular interest in visual information processing however blends her passion and creativity to help her patients, both adults and children, to provide both effective and life changing vision therapy to her patients. In her spare time , Leslie enjoys jewellery making, swimming and camping.

Janice is an optical stylist at the Richmond Hill Optometric Clinic. Janice loves helping patients with their prescription and non-prescription eyewear. Janice blends her knowledge of eyewear technology for her patient’s needs with her amazing sense of fashion and style to each of her patients.
Janice’s passion to help her patients improve the function of their visual system through vision therapy has grown in her time at Richmond Hill Optometric Clinic. She is currently completing the Practical Vision Therapy Accreditation Program here in Canada under the supervision of Dr. Chawla.
Janice achieves a great sense of satisfaction through helping patients with their visual skills, ability to learn and self-image with their eye wear, but she also feels rewarded when she is able to help patients improve aspects of their daily life and visual functioning through vision therapy.
In her spare time, Janice enjoys traveling, indoor bouldering and playing board games with friends and family.

Melissa is a Vision Therapist at Richmond Hill Optometric Clinic.
She studied Biomedical Sciences at Toronto Metropolitan University and graduated in 2022. Melissa has always had a passion for working one-on-one with children from past experiences, personal and professional. Getting to see people's progress and confidence build over time is one of the best things to experience.
She is in the process of training in vision therapy and looking forward to completing the Vision Therapy Accreditation Program later in the year.
In her spare time, Melissa loves to spend time with her family, journal, and read.

Leo is the Content Curator at the Richmond Hill Optometric Clinic.
Leo studied psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University. From his own personal experiences, Leo has developed an interest in our goal of achieving patient catered solutions to vision and eye health and broaden these views to its growing community.
Leo is passionate about providing exceptional customer service to our patients.
He strives to ensure that every patient’s visit to our clinic is a memorable one. In his spare time he enjoys gaming , reading and content creation.

Haleh is a highly accomplished and skilled Medical Esthetician with extensive training in spa therapies, medical skincare, and professional skincare treatments, with updated certificates in Teaching and Training Adult Learners and Esthetic and Spa therapies Diploma.
Haleh possesses the knowledge to perform a wide range of professional medical skin care services such as skin resurfacing and revitalization, non-surgical skin lift and tightening, laser hair removal, chemical peels and advanced facials, among others.
She is also knowledgeable about holistic face and body treatments, as well as the science behind the latest technologies in the industry. Fluent in English and Persian (Farsi).
Haleh has strong communication skills, which she honed during her several years of working in the Esthetic and Beauty industry.
With her professional experience, Haleh has developed and refined her skills further, as evidenced by her various positions in the industry. Haleh currently works as a part-time Spa Lab Technologist at Humber College and as a part-time Professor at Seneca College, where she teaches and trains learners hands-on techniques for various professional esthetic services, creates and develops course content, and works with different professional face and body spa brands.
She also has years of experience as an Administrative Coordinator, Medical Esthetician and Esthetic Services Manager in her field of expertise.
As a lifelong learner, Haleh values education and is dedicated to expanding her knowledge and skills throughout her life. She is motivated by a thirst for knowledge and personal growth, and she always seeks new learning opportunities in and out of the classroom. She is completing her Bachelor's Degree in Adult Education online while actively engaging in her profession.
In addition to her academic pursuits, she enjoys spending time with her family and attending family gatherings. She understands the importance of family and cherishes the time spent with loved ones.
She also has a passion for travel and loves exploring new destinations. Through her travels, she gains a deeper understanding and appreciation of different cultures and ways of life.
Finally, she enjoys pottery as a creative outlet, finding joy in moulding clay and creating unique pieces of art.
